About Us

  • Established in 2007, Developed Agricultural Marketing Company (DAMCO), within its first year of operation, was able to utilize agricultural land available in its possession to produce, pack and, and export vegetables from Jordan into the UK as well as other European and Russian Markets.

  • DAMCO’s farms are located in the Jordan Valley, an area which falls within the famous Rift Valley extending all the way from South of Lebanon, down the Red Sea and into East Africa. The Dead Sea is the lowest point in the Rift Valley and is measured at 410 meters below sea-level.

  • Such altitude gives the Jordan Valley a special climate during the winter months of the Northern Hemisphere. A  climate which is enjoyed only by countries found south of the Equator at that time of the year.

  • With farmlands located at 265 meters below sea-level and others in the uplands DAMCO had the flexibility of producing fruits and vegetables on a year round basis. This fives the company an edge over other competitors shipping produce from far away sources into Europe.

  • Due to the new regulations requiring suppliers to be Global-GAP certified in order to be allowed to supply fruits and vegetables into Europe, a decision was taken by the partners of DAMCO to build a facility in order to meet such requirements. To be able to market produce in the UK supermarket, DAMCO had to acquire two more certificates, namely BRC and TNC. This move not only added more value to the products that DAMCO is producing, but also increased the level of sophistication in both field and pack-house management and operations.
